A unique design used in 1737 as a pattern for dinner and tea services. This 'double plate' is a rare version of a more common collection of smaller plates and saucers, one which is featured in the Royal Museums of Arts and History in Brussels. Decorated in various overglaze enamels, 'The Four Doctors' was a design made by the Dutch artist Cornelius Pronk and produced in China.
