GOOSE TUREEN/COVER
An original collection inspired by G.E Heiss in the Hochst faience factory. The Chinese modeled their goose tureens with the heads borne on the tall upright neck and turned slightly to one side. The feathers are produced in bright enamels and iron-red. Originals of this type sold at Sotheby's in London on November 5, 1991 for more than $100,000. | |
